Charles E. Huff, Jr. was born the eldest son of Charles E. Huff, Sr. and Malinda H. Huff and raised in Columbus, Georgia.  He graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus and attended North Carolina A&T State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Physical Education.  He furthered his education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Georgia.  He returned to Columbus to work alongside his father at the Charles Huff’s International Funeral Home, Inc. where he has been dedicated to serving the families of Columbus, Georgia. He is married to Lula Lunsford Huff, and they have one daughter, Dr. Tamara N. Huff Akinbo, MD, MBA, FAAOS, FAAHKS and a wonderful son-in-law, Dr. Oluwaseun Akinbo, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS.

Bruce H. Huff, Sr Owner, Mortician and Funeral Director

Bruce H. Huff, Sr. was the second born son of Charles E. Huff, Sr. and Malinda H. Huff and was raised in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated Hardaway High School in 1975 and Florida State University in 1980. Bruce H. Huff worked in the family business with his father and older brother as an apprentice for two years. He saw the need to help families with their insurance needs. From this passion to help those in need, he became a licensed insurance agent. In 1992, Bruce moved his Insurance Brokerage Company into the funeral home after the passing of his father, Charles E. Huff, Sr. This move allowed him to be closer to his older brother Charles E. Huff, Jr. and to work more efficiently with his clients. In 1995, Bruce attended Gupton Jones School of Mortuary Science and graduated in 1996. He is proudly working side by side with Charles and preserving the legacy of the funeral home. In addition to his 24/7 duties as a Mortician, Bruce in 2010, Bruce put his name in the hat for City Council District 3 representative and won. He is currently serving his fourth term as City Councilor for District 3.  Bruce is married to Charonda D. Huff and they have two sons, Anthony and Bruce Jr. and one grandson, Denim.

Charonda D. Huff was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and is a 1991 graduate of Pacelli High School.  She attended Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina and later transferred to Columbus State University where she earned a Bachlor's Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing. From 1997 to 1998 Charonda worked full-time with the funeral home as the Administrative Assistant before starting her 22 year tenure with Aflac.  Although Charonda has other part-time occupations her passion for the funeral industry is strong and she is determined to make a positive impact on the families we serve.  Charonda wears many hats with our family business to include: Funeral Attendant, Business Manager, Marketing Manager and she authors all of the news obituaries. She is married to, owner, Bruce H. Huff, Sr. and they have two sons, Anthony and Bruce, Jr. and one grandson, Denim.

Charonda has few affiliations:

  • Member of St. James African Methodist Episcople Church: serves on Usher Board and Public Relations Commission
  • Member of the Columbus Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Antron Murray was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia and is the son of Mrs. Annie and the late Tom Murray. Antron is a graduate of Kendrick High School class of 1998. He graduated from Columbus State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. He continued his post graduate education by obtaining a Master’s in Middle Grades Education and a Specialist in Educational Leadership. Antron is the principal of Double Churches Elementary School and is currently working on his Doctorate in Education. Antron is married to Veronica L. Murray, and they have four children. Antron began working at Charles E. Huff International Funeral Home in 2012.

  • Member of the Alpha Phi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
